Naked Plates was the first Paint Your Own Pottery Studio in Michigan and is still the most preferred Studio in the state. We offer over 250 bisque items to paint. This is not your grandma's ceramics. Pottery - Cheaper than therapy and much more fun.

Naked Plates is…
Paint your own pottery studio where customers “paint” ceramic pieces that have been fired once. They use our supplies, we offer our assistance, and when they have completed their piece we apply the clear glaze and fire it. Finished pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe, and they are food-safe (lead-free). A relaxing social, creative studio where our customers feel at home. We want our customers to enjoy being at Naked Plates… we want them to feel like part of our family. One of the most important jobs of our staff is to make our customers feel at home… offer them assistance, offer them praise. A wonderful place for families, friends, co-workers, etc to spend quality time together. We want our customers to WANT to be here… and WANT to come back. We offer over 200 pieces starting from $2.50 up to $99 with a great amount of pieces in the $7 to $15 range.
Studio time fees are $6 per person (never a firing fee) and not an hourly fee.
Saturday's are kids day where studio time is only $4 per child 17 and under.
Call for special studio fees for groups of 6 or more.
We cater those people who love to have any reason for a party or social gathering. We do kids and adult birthday parties, bachelorette parties, baby showers, team building, ladies groups, church youth groups, Moms groups.
We also can bring the pottery to YOU. We love to go to college dorms and bring the pottery and all supplies. We will travel most anywhere and bring everything to you if you cannot make it to our studio.
Want to paint but don't have time to sit in the studio? We have "Pottery to Go." All you do is pick your pieces, pick the paint colors ($3.25 per 2 ounce bottle) and then take it home to paint at your leisure. There is a $2 per piece firing fee.
Kids birthday party packages are available. Why not have the party at our studio. You can bring cake and ice cream and presents and let us clean up afterward. Birthday party packages include a hostess, several select pieces to pick from and then your guest's pieces packaged separately so they can just be delivered.
